You are never too much…
Every worry, every thought, every sigh, every need, every grief or sorrow; every tear, every trial – He knows about and He cares. What grieves and hurts us, is His concern.
Never turned away
He never turns us away. In Him we are safe and loved. We are worthy of His love. Nothing and no one can change that.
Whether or not someone deems your needs important; what you are going through matters to Him. Almighty God, cares for you! Nothing is too small or insignificant. He who sees the sparrow fall, sees you, and He will never abandon or reject you.
Ancient verse bubbles up; cogent, and powerful – Words from the very heart of God – strong, and achingly tender – “Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands…” (Isaiah 49:15 – 16a)
Never too much
Others may think what you are going through is not important, but to Him – each breath, or hurt, every crisis – large and looming or minute – He knows. He hears us, and loves to know what is on our hearts.
Jesus loves us. He loves you. He loves me.
He loves: always and forever.
We are never too much for Him, or too full of need. In our absolute weaknesses, He makes Himself strong.
Your pain, your hurts – matter and, they matter to Him!
Let go
As much as you are able; let go of what others think.
Psalm 139: 17 – 18a, says: “How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand.” Imagine that – His thoughts are towards us are more numerous than the sand on the seashore!
In tenderness He croons love songs over us, lifts us up – holds us close to His heart.
View each other with love
Perhaps we might stop judging one another for our feelings? Beth Moore in her book “So Long Insecurity,” says this: “{view each other as} equally broken people, with real problems, pain, hopes, dreams and disappointments.”
And, remember this: He clothes us in strength and dignity.
Clothed in strength and dignity
Beth encourages us to embrace and declare – “I am a God-clothed woman of valour and I have the privilege to wear strength like a garment… In Christ, I have divine power. In my gravest weakness His strength is perfected…”
Moore continues – “To possess dignity is to be worthy of respect. Worthy of high esteem… God Himself gives this to us… Wear your God-given strength. Throw on your God-given dignity. Walk with your head held up in your God-given security.”
Be confident
So, let us take our sore and wounded hearts to Him being assured once again of His everlasting love for us. Then we may carry on convinced of who we are in Him.
And, we do as the author of Hebrews encourages us: “… do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:35-36)
