I've Been Thinking

I see trees of green

A few minutes ago I stepped out onto our deck. What a glorious day. The oppressive heat no longer assaults, I am kissed by the gentle sun. The breeze rustles through my dancing Trembling Aspen. She whispers to me, “fresh new day, full of promise.” “Yes,” I whisper back, “His mercies, new every morning.”

I drink in the kaleidoscope of colors: reds, pinks, yellow, coral and amethyst purples. I revel in the cloudless blue sky, the emeralds of the trees, the wind blowing in my hair. I listen to joyful birdsong.

The old jazz tune plays melodies in my head – “I see trees of green, red roses too. I see them bloom for me and you. And I think to myself what a wonderful world. “ – Louis Armstrong

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Psalm 19:1 CEB

Enjoy this day, my friends, revel in its beauty, let it woo you tenderly – turn your gaze to the Creator of the heavens and the earth. For you are greatly loved and so very precious to Him.
